

PEKIN ~ Amy Nicole Joesting, 28, of 1202 Maple Street, passed away at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria following a 2 ½ year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
She was born December 10, 1978 in Peoria to Scott Stephens and Cheryl L. (Walker) Joesting.
Surviving are her mother, Cheryl L. Joesting of Pekin; her father and step-mother, Scott S. and Nema J. Joesting of Marquette Heights; one son, Dalton Alexander Buck of Pekin; one sister, Shannon M. (Randy) Roberts of Bartonville; two step-sisters, Sarah M. (Brian) Williamsen of Bartonville and Amber K. Wood of Marquette Heights; one step-brother, Christopher Wood of Normal; her maternal grandparents, Louella and Van B. Sales of Peoria and C. Edward and Marcella Walker of Rockford; her paternal grandparents, Hugh and Mary Duval of Denver, Colorado and four nephews. She also leaves her beloved dogs, Nala and Puck.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Charles Joesting.Amy worked as a pharmaceutical technician for Wal-Mart in Pekin, last working in June of 2005. She previously worked for several years at the East Peoria Wal-Mart store.
Amy was fond of crafts and enjoyed decorating her home. She shared a love for hockey with her son and was a fan of the St. Louis Blues and the Peoria Rivermen. Amy especially enjoyed keeping in contact with her family and friends through text messaging.
She attended Christ Bible Church in Creve Coeur.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Tom Pisano will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2007at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund established for her son, Dalton, in care of any CEFCU Member Center.
