PEKIN ~ Anna Marie McNally, 91, of 1520 El Camino Drive, passed away at 12:18 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Pekin Manor. She was formerly of 9 Valley High Estates.Born January 20, 1916 in Pekin to Fred and Letha (Tomlin) Schaefer, she married Harold Robert "Mac" McNally on June 4, 1938 in Pekin. He died December 15, 1974 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents.Surviving are two sons, Daniel R. (Janet) McNally of East Peoria and John F. McNally of Boulder, Colorado; one daughter, Mary E. (Bob) Lord of Loganville, Georgia and five grandchildren, Chris McNally of New York City, Mike Lord of Walnut Creek, California, Wren (Phil) Capp of Seattle, Washington, Katie (Bryan) Donald of St. Paul, Minnesota and Megan McNally of East Peoria.Anna was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.In her earlier years was involved in the family business, Jansen & Schaefer Contractors. Anna had a lifelong interest in archaeology and enjoyed her travels to China, Peru and other architecturally interesting places. She and her husband wintered for many years in Vero Beach, Florida, where they were members of the John's Island Club.She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin and Holy Family Catholic Church in Vero Beach. She also was a member of the Pekin Hospital League where she volunteered for many years and the Pekin Country Club.She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be sorely missed, but remembered for the many joyous times and kindnesses she brought to all who knew her.Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
