Anna M Vogelsang

Born August 5, 1924 in Quincy to Hugh A. and Katherine C. (Deters) Renshaw, she married Eugene C. Vogelsang on July 19, 1947 in Peoria.  He died April 19, 2002 in Pekin.  She also was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Surviving are two sons, James E. Vogelsang of Pekin and Thomas R. Vogelsang of Mapleton; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, James A. Renshaw of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.

Anna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women.

She had worked for the City of Pekin as secretary to the Mayor from 1959 until 1972.  She had co-owned and operated Rea's Dress Shop for 10 years and had also worked for the Pekin Police Department in the Investigations Department for 6 years.

Anna was a former member of the Ladies of Columbus in Pekin.

Her graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Father Michael Andrejek will officiate.  Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
