Arlene F Cramer

Born July 20, 1930 in Pekin to Ivan R. and Margaret W. (Manhusen) Zehr, she married Richard Wayne Cramer on August 12, 1951 in Pekin. He died May 27, 2012 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Surviving are one daughter, Denise (Rev. Jim) West of Pekin; two sons, Randall (Angela) Cramer of Sandwich and Richard (Luz) Cramer of Desoto, TX; two grandsons, David West of Pekin and Nathan Cramer of Sandwich and one granddaughter, Tasha Mahurin of Sycamore.

Arlene worked for Cohen Furniture in Pekin for 17 years as office manager, retiring in 1987.

She enjoyed making crafts, sewing and playing Farkle. She will be remembered as a fun woman that had a humorous side and could tell a good joke. She also was a great cook.

Arlene was a member of Second Reformed Church in Pekin.

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Jim West, her son-in-law, will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
