Born January 30, 1940 in Peoria to Elmer and Florence (Farmer) Maddox, she married Lewis Underwood in Virginia. He survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Tawnya Underwood Davis of Peoria; three grandsons, Eric Parsons and Josh Parsons, both of Havana and Andrew Parsons of Peoria; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Parsons of Havana; one brother, Lou Maddox of Decatur, Alabama; and one sister, Doloris Adams of Buhl, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Underwood and two brothers.
She was a member of Springlake Missionary Church.
A homemaker, Barbara enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
