

Born March 1, 1950 in Pekin to Benedict and Florence (Merry) Riley, Sr. he married Kathy Marohnic on December 10, 1978 in Escanaba, Michigan.
Surviving are one son, Richard Riley of Pekin; one daughter, Tammy Callaway of Pekin; two grandchildren, Ashley and Breanna; two sisters, Debra (Keith) Pennock of East Peoria, Barbara Woulfe of Manito and one brother, Kenneth (Tamie) Perry of Easton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father Richard Perry who raised him.
Ben had worked at Bemis Inc. in Peoria for 20 years, retiring in 2006 as a maintenance machinist.
He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, but his true passion was deer hunting. He also loved his time spent with family and he will be greatly missed by his Chihuahua Domino.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Paul Seidl will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
