

Born July 5, 1932 in Mason City to Wilbur and Charlotte (Peplow) Earhart, she married Robert Eugene VanNattan on November 27, 1948 in Havana. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2022 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one great grandchild, Jaycee Lantz; two brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Darla (Jerry) Watkins of Manito and Charlene (Bruce) Hohulin of Morton; eight grandchildren, Holly (Dan) Bauman of Goodfield, Gretchen Hohulin of Morton, Anna (Jason) Lantz of Bluffton, Indiana, Jamie (Bob) Rohrer of Williston, Florida, Liz Schmidgall of Eureka, Jesse (Alissa) Watkins of Mackinaw, Aaron (Brigette) Hohulin of Congerville and Wendy (Billy) Robb of Phoenix, Arizona; 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Betty graduated from cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser for ten years. She then worked alongside her husband at Timberline Stables in Goodfield, as well as Vans Delshire Stables in Pekin.
Betty enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her grandkids. Betty and Bob gave their children and grandchildren a wonderful life of unconditional love. Betty also enjoyed having fun listening and dancing to her favorite music.
The staff at Villas of Hollybrook in Pekin and The Apostolic Christian home of Eureka provided wonderful and loving care to both Bob and Betty.
A visitation will be held at noon with a memorial service following at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The family will also receive friends following the service at a reception at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded. Private inurnment will be in Green Valley Cemetery at a later date.
