She was born March 22,1927 in Pekin to Sidney and Beulah (White) Gent. She married Robert Parks in 1947 in Pekin. He passed away December 7, 1984 in Manito. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Donna Sloneker, and one brother, Sidney Gent.
Survivors include two sons: Randy (Diana) Parks of Pekin, Mark (Marilyn) Parks of Pekin, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two brothers: Roger (Pat) Gent of Texas, Wallace (Ann) Gent of Pekin.
Billie Jean was a bookkeeper for Waddell Airport in Manito and later a Bookkeeper at Mt. Hawley Airport retiring in 1985. Later she worked for the Illinois Dept. of Agriculture in Pekin. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Pekin and the Assembly of God Church in Pekin. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Friday May 24, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery at a later date.
