Bonita Sue Swan

Born July 14, 1952 in Beardstown to Leroy James and Mary Louise (Rollins) Birdsell, she married Ronald Scott Swan December 1, 1979. He died February 28, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert Birdsell, William Birdsell and Michael Birdsell; and one sister Barbara Maxwell.

Surviving are her four children, Katie Swan of Pekin, Courtney (Scott) Moore of East Peoria, Shannon (Kelly Mercer) Miller of Kansas City, Missouri and Sean (Serena) Miller of New London, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Brody, Kyle, Madi, Mitchell, Damien, Kennedy, Carter, Zoe, Sydney, Morgan, Evelyn and Theo; six great grandchildren, Benny, Shannon, Kaspin, Kieran, Lincoln and Eden; one sister, Judy Anderson of Hannibal Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Bonni was a cake decorator and craft fair vender her whole life. Family and faith were very important to her. Each morning she would listen to her Bible, she would listen to podcasts, and she enjoyed playing games online with her kids and grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
