Brenda L Cox

Born April 17, 1961 in Pekin to Herman and Ethel (Merry) Reed, she married William Cox on July 12, 1980 in North Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are one brother, Dennis (Jan) Reed of Henry; four sisters, Virginia Cox of Armington, Erma (Thomas) Trainor of Edelstein, Mary (Duane) Rockhold of Boulder, CO and Linda (Ken) Schuttler of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Glen; and one brother-in-law, Ed.

Brenda was a 1979 graduate of Pekin Community High School.

She had worked for CILCO as a customer service representative and then went to Indiana Power and Light Company in Indianapolis, last working in 2004.

Brenda was a former member of the North Pekin Church of the Nazarene.

She enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, photography and spending time on her computer.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
