Born December 6, 1943 in Pekin to John and Eleanor (Pratt) Coryell, she married Kenneth “Ken” Paul Thompson on December 31, 1987. He died August 2, 2020 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Cory DePeugh and one brother, Timothy Coryell.
Surviving are one daughter, Michelle (Eric) Dupent of South Pekin; one son, Greg (Dawn) DePeugh of Pekin; one step-daughter, Andrea (Jim) Cantrall of Pekin; one step-son, Steven (Alison) Thompson of Swansea, Wales; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two brothers, Thomas Coryell of Arizona and Tildon Coryell of Illinois.
A homemaker, Carol enjoyed photography, crocheting, baking and collecting dolls and cookbooks.
Her private graveside will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor John Vaughn will officiate.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
