

Born December 1, 1939 in Peoria to John Wayne and Rosemary (Klassert) Sisler, he married the love of his life, Linda Creason on October 11, 1969. She survives. They had just celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.
Also surviving are his two daughters, Laurie (Mike) Brand of Stanford and Wendy (Rich Richardson) of South Pekin; one son, Dorsey (Dee Palmer) Sisler of Cave-in-Rock; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Beaty, Marcia (Glen) Rhoades and Tina Jolly; three brothers, Dorsey Sisler, Mike Sisler and Ron (Tina) Sisler; and his best friend since childhood, Ron Perkins of Hanna City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Louis Sisler, Donald Sisler, Marvin Diveley and Steven “John” Sisler; and two sisters, Mona Piro and Betty LaMaster.
Charlie worked for IBM for 35 years before retiring as a Customer Service Engineer.
He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army Security Agency. He was stationed in the Philippines and Korea from 1964 to 1966.
Charlie was a life member of the Amvets Post #169 in North Pekin and the NRA.
He enjoyed deer hunting, bowling and fishing and spending time with his family. Charlie never met a stranger and always had a story and a smile for anyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
His graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at Snareville Cemetery near Wyoming, Illinois. No visitation is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
