

He was born February 4, 1993 in Normal to Jack and Charlotte (Johnston) Smith. His father preceded him in death at the age of 58, along with his niece, Olivia Anne Smith, infant daughter of Caleb and Laura Smith.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Charlotte Smith and Terry Phillips of Pekin; one brother, Caleb (Laura) Smith of Groveland; two nephews, Elijah Smith and Jonah Smith; and his step-brother, Trevor Phillips of Charleston.
Charlie was never afraid of hard work and always strived to be the best in everything he did. He worked at Monical’s Pizza in Peoria, where he worked a variety of positions, ensuring the best pizza was prepared for people in Central Illinois. Charlie was passionate about the New England Patriots, Chicago Bulls, and the Philadelphia Flyers.He enjoyed time with his family during his free time, landscaping, playing disc golf, and helping anyone in need even if it took him away from what he loved the most.Charlie enjoyed playing XBOX live and collecting dream catchers.
Private graveside services were held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Stanford.
