

Clarence R. Bunger, 85, of Glasford, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 4:31 AM in Graham Hospital,Canton, Illinois. He was born on February 21, 1930 in Glasford, Illinois to Peter and Edith (Keel) Bunger. He married Patsy Mary Cowser on January 28, 1950 in Glasford, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Douglas Bunger and Darcey (Douglas) Spenny both of Glasford, Illinois; three grandchildren, Damon Spenny, Danielle (Pat) Prohaska, and Devon (Joshua) White and four great grandsons: Brady and Brendon Prohaska and Josiah and Christian White. He has one brother, John (Carole) Bunger of Pekin, Illinois and a sister, Irene Bitner of Glasford, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
He bought his first farm at age 16 years of age and farmed to the age of 75. He had his own excavating business for many years, and worked at Caterpillar for 18 years. He attended Zion- Penn Ridge Lutheran Church in Trivoli.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM September 12, 2015 at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. Gary Schmidt will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Penn Ridge Cemetery in Trivoli, Illinois.
