

Born November 27, 1948 in Peoria to Eugene W. “Mac” and Marian A. (Hilst) McDaniels, she married Mark O. Reeder on May 27, 1989 in Pekin. He died January 5, 2021 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are twin daughters, Amber Marian (Tony) Oedewaldt of Chillicothe and Charity Ruth Gullett (Jim) Williamson of Manito; one son, Tyrone Eugene Irwin (Donna) Gullett of Mapleton; five grandchildren, Cole Daniel (Lillian) Gullett of Denver, Colorado, Tanner Jene (Jacob Wendler) Hall of Mossville, LaRynn Tyler Breitzman of Columbia, Missouri, Cameron Marian D. Gullett of Morton and Caleb Anthony Oedewaldt of Williamsfield; one great-grandson, Bennett Wendler; one brother, Randall (Kendra) McDaniels of Pekin; two sisters, Kate (Peter) Baumann of Roscoe and Brenda (James) Hanerhoff of East Moline and several nieces and nephews.
Claudia was a graduate of Bradley University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. She later continued her studies at Illinois State University and earned a Master of Science degree in Mathematics. Claudia taught calculus at Bradley for 32 years.
She worked from 1987 to 2018 in the family business, McDaniels Marketing in Pekin, serving as Vice-President of Finance.
Claudia was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Bridge. She was a longtime member of Timberlake Club in Peoria and loved golfing, participating in several women’s golf leagues in the area. She was also a regular at Parkside Athletics in Pekin. She enjoyed playing racquetball, tennis, and pickleball.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Daniel J. Bishop will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
