I stumbled across Cliff's obituary two years after he passed, making this sympathy message quite late. Cliff and I were roommates at Western Illinois University from January 1974 through the spring of 1974, and again in the fall of 1975 through the spring of 1976 when four of us rented the lower level of a great brick house. Those were very good and very special times. I had not seen Cliff in decades, but he crossed my mind often. I will always fondly remember his sense of humor, and his loyalty to his friends. Rest in peace. 

Sorry to hear about Cliff, my prayers are with the family,

I was so shocked to hear of Cliff's passing. I worked alongside him for two years while I was a kid in college at the East Peoria store. He was truly one of the most caring, compassionate, and overall great man. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Udry and Hoehn families. I am so sorry for your loss way too early for a genuinely good guy.

We have always been friends with the Udry's, since we were all tiny children and I still remember great times together with our families.  Cliff was always a very special person and a very nice boy.  Bless his memory as a kind and wonderful person for his family and for all who loved him.

I played the violin grade school through grade 12 with Cliff. We were good friends back then...our love for music and playing in the P.C.H.S. orchestra (graduating together 1972) was fun with practices at Edison Jr. High too...local competitions kept our skills sharp. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family...

Cliff was a kind person.  His family is in my prayers.

Udry family and Randell, I am so sorry for your loss.  Cliff was a high school and Western friend.  He and I and many other Pekin kids began our adulthood at Western together, and I'll never forget how much fun we all had.  Cliff had the best laugh!  I hope your memories of Cliff help you through this most difficult time.

Randy and Cliff were some of our very first friends in Peoria/Pekin. We have such cherished memories of us as young and healthy guys. We'll never forget those days .. and choose to remember Cliff that way.

I met Cliff and Randy back in 1991 as they were building their house in Washington IL.  They were wonderful friends, and helped me through my journey of coming out.  I feel blessed for the time I spend with Cliff and Randy, and very vividly remember the vacation we took together in Puerto Vallarta MX in 1994.  I wish I were home to be more supportive to Randy, but know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
