D. Sue Urish

Born November 13, 1951 in Peoria to Donald Lee and Loise Eulene (Staten) Badgerow, she married Albert Urish December 29, 1995 in Hopedale. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, April (Marc) Vonderheide of Delavan; one son, Aaron (Amber) Martin of Delavan; one step-daughter, Kimberley Urish of Denver; grandchildren, Madison, Blake, and Hailey Anderson, Ryne Kern, Valerie, Jaci and Hunter Martin; one great-grandson, Benjamin Diekhoff; one sister, Wyona (Leigh) Adams of East Peoria; and one sister by heart, Carol (Danny) Allen of Green Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald Lee “Jr.” Badgerow.

A homemaker, Sue wore many faces for many people, mother, wife, friend, etc. She never knew a stranger! She was talented and could accomplish anything she set her mind to, staying up many nights burning the midnight oil to finish a project for someone she loves. Often, her loving husband Bert being her right hand! She enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, sewing, crafting and painting and loved to share her talents with her family and friends. Sue will be missed by many, until we see her again.

The family will host a celebration of life that will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Farmhouse Banquet Center in Delavan. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family with arrangements.
