

PEKIN ~ Dalton E. Wiseman, 30, of Pekin, passed away and was rescued by God on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Dalton was a Godly man of strong faith who left this world of calamity and found the peace of Heaven (Isaiah 57:1-2).
Born February 18, 1995 in Peoria, he was the son of William Franklin "Frank" Wiseman and Julie Ann (Schoon) Wiseman.
Surviving are his mother, Julie (Steve Dingledine) Wiseman of Pekin; his grandmothers, Jacqueline Schoon and Roberta Schoon, both of Pekin; his siblings, Frank Wiseman, Jr., Samantha Dansby and Waylon (Tracy Roots) Wiseman, all of Pekin; his aunts and uncles, Tom (Barb) Wiseman of Pekin, Larry (Joyce) Schoon of North Pekin, Russ Schoon, Carl (Kathy Freed) Schoon, both of Pekin, Linda Hannon of Georgia, Patsy Wiseman, Shirley Wiseman, both of Pekin, Rose Schoon of Arizona and Debbie Moore of Pekin; his nieces and nephews, Tannah Wiseman, Jersye Wiseman, Brody Wiseman, Jessica Dupage, Sydney Miller and Evyn Miller and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and his aunts and uncles, Dixie Wiseman, Wanda Little, Patty Alcorn, Linda Miller, Barry Miller, Kenny Wiseman and John Wiseman.
Dalton went to South Pekin Grade School, where he started to make his long list of friends. He played on the basketball team and track. He graduated from Pekin Community High School in 2013. He then went into the Laborers Local 231 in Pekin.
He had a heart to help people who were troubled, homeless and in need. He would help them in whatever way he could and by leading them to God's love in his special way. Dalton touched a lot of people and made a lasting impression on everyone he met with his big loving heart and kindness and made happy, lasting memories of joy and laughter everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. But with faith and faith alone we can feel his presence now and know that we will meet again. In the name of God, Amen.
His celebration of life gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Marine Corps. League in Pekin, with a time of sharing to be held at 6 p.m. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Julie Wiseman, 110 Clearview Drive, Pekin, IL 61554 to help with Dalton's cremation and celebration of life expenses.
