

He was born August 8, 1949 in Pekin to Robert Joseph Livengood and Edna May (Hoerr) Crider.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Livengood of Arlington, Texas and David (Angel) Livengood of Marquette Heights; two grandchildren, Ava and Collin; three siblings, Lawrence “Frank” (Lula) McMullen, Cora (Don) Weast, both of Pekin and Vera “Lori” Sanders of Channahon and many nephews and nieces, including a special niece, Michelle “Mitzi” Pettet of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Elizabeth Patton and one brother, Samuel Livengood.
Dan served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
He worked at the Quaker Oats Paper Mill for many years in Pekin.
A handyman he loved working on projects and fixing things. He was known as a jokester, he would tell jokes to anyone he met and loved to laugh. Dan was kind and was great with kids. In his free time he also enjoyed playing pool.
His graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
