Born August 30, 1935 in Mendota to Harry and Helen Klein, he married Wanda Merry on September 12, 1974 in Kingston Mines. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Terri Klein of Glasford; three sons, David Klein, Timmy Klein and Jeff Klein; two step-daughters, Katherine (William) Jordan of West Peoria, and Teresa (Victor) Leal of Bartonville; three step-sons, Charles (Laury) Stevens of Pekin, James Anthony Stevens, Jr. of Manito and James (Christina) Stevens of Pekin; twenty-four grandchildren, including Alyssha Klein and Lucas Klein; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christina Bankes of Troy and Joan Winstead of Troy; and one brother, John Klein of Mendota.
David had been a truck driver for I. Erlichman Company for several years.
He enjoyed playing dice, cards and the marble board.
Arrangements are pending at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
