

Born September 10, 1955 in Fort Benning, GA to Paul and Carol (Brydon) Windlow, she married William Wertz on June 9, 1973. She later married Gary Pennock on April 3, 1981, they divorced.
Surviving are her daughter, Kara (Joe) Smith of Pekin; four grandchildren, Daymeon Smith of Pekin; Dustin Smith of Big Sandy, TX; Kambria Fletcher and Tanner Smith, both of Pekin; her faithful companion of 21 years, Bryce Bullard of Creve Coeur; and one brother, Jim Windlow of Florida.
Preceding her in death are her parents; grandparents; and one brother, Thomas Windlow.
Debra had worked at Wal-Mart in East Peoria.
A devoted and caring mom, grandma and friend, Debra loved her cats, crafts, playing scrabble and was an avid animal lover.
Known as “nannies” by her grandchildren, she also loved to hunt for the Pekin Marigold medallion with her daughter.
Debra loved the Lord and professed this by becoming saved and baptized.
Her memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev W. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation has been accorded.
