Debra A Emert

Born January 18, 1955 in Lincoln to Phillip Eugene and Anita Kay (Smith) Renner, she married Robert Ray “Rob” Emert on August 25, 1984 in Peoria.

Surviving are her husband, Rob; and one daughter, Carly Emert of Hanna City.

Deb worked as a secretary for many years. She had worked as a field secretary in construction, at C.F. Industries in Kingston Mines, for Coldwell Banker Cullinan Devonshire Realty in Peoria for 13 years, and later as a legal secretary for Miller, Hall, and Triggs, Attorneys at Law in Peoria. She last worked at Echo Valley Meats in Bartonville.

She was a former member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.

Deb enjoyed golfing, traveling, hiking, and riding with her husband on his motorcycle. She also enjoyed taking tap dancing classes at Diane’s Dance World in Pekin for many years and cherished the mother/daughter tap with Carly.

Her funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Jeffrey Lashley will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded after services.
