Born June 19, 1950 in East St. Louis to Joseph William and Hazel Aletha (Brown) Gruber, she married Daniel Marlin Snell on May 2, 1970 in East St. Louis. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Ryan (Traci) Snell of Washington; two grandchildren, Palmer and Campbell; one sister and one brother. She also leaves her beloved boxer, Ping, and her cat, Conan.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Deni attended Southern Illinois University and graduated with her nursing degree from Illinois Central College.
As a Registered Nurse, Deni worked from 1981 to 2009, last working with Advanced Orthopedics. She continued doing some part-time nursing in retirement.
Deni was focused on her grandchildren, loved golfing and photography and also enjoyed cross stitch.
She was of the Christian faith.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. No services or visitation are planned.
