He was born January 3, 1927 in Pekin to Robert and Grace Irene (Dikes) Kearney. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, six sisters and two nieces.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Dewey retired in 1990 from Gebhardts Poultry House after nearly 50 years of service.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and sportsman.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before. Pastor Brad Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
