

Born April 4, 1949 in Pekin to Ernest Marcel and Pauline Margaret (Rinaldo) Tassart, Jr., she married Michael Miller on July 16, 1971 in Pekin.
Surviving are one son, Daniel (Valerie) Miller of Pekin; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Miller and Emmalyn Miller; one sister, Janet Greenway of Pekin and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mechelle Hawk.
Diana was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady and Illinois State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in 1971.
She worked as a Chapter I Special Reading Aide for District 108 for 5 years and was a teacher at St. Paul Wonderland Day Care for 16 years. In earlier years she worked in the office for Pekin Park and also in the family hardware business, Ace Hardware.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking. Diana will be remembered as a devoted mother, a kind person that liked to help other people whenever she could, and a faithful caregiver for her father in his later years.
Diana was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral
Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
