Donna June Young

Born June 13, 1942 in East Peoria to Elmer and Louise (Jones) Welch, she married Rawleigh Young on February 29, 1960 in East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her husband; by three brothers, Jack, Jim and Paul Welch; and two grandchildren, Travis Patterson and Stacia Hardin.

Surviving are two sons, Alan (Sheri) Young of Hopedale and Kevin (Keri) Young of East Peoria; one daughter, Belinda Young of East Peoria; six grandchildren, Joshua and Justin Baldwin, Brian, Cody and Cyle Young and Jacob Rohman; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Young and two sisters, Terry McAlphin and Lee Helmig, both of East Peoria.

Donna had worked for Lum’s in Peoria for ten years. She later worked for Peoria Plastics for over ten years.

Family meant everything to Donna. She loved spending time with her children and her sisters. She also loved her puppies, Coco and Peppi.

A celebration of life will be from 12 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the American Legion in East Peoria. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur
