Born May 28, 1934 in Isle of Thanet, England, she was the daughter of Joseph and Queenie (Sell) Westall. She married Marvin E. Waymire, Sr. He died February 4, 2012. She also was preceded in death by her
parents and two brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Marvin (Carol) Waymire, Jr. of Topeka and Joseph (Jane) Waymire of Pekin; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one brother.
Doreen formerly worked at Green Valley High School in food service. She also had been a correspondent reporter for the Pekin Times covering Green Valley news. Doreen formerly served on the Green Valley Village Board.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
No services or visitation are planned. Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Inurnment will be in Green Valley Cemetery.
