Born October 25, 1937 in Vienna to Loren "Pete" and Ethel (Albaugh) Gillespie, she married James S. Crisman on August 24, 1956 in Vienna.
Surviving are her husband; 1 son, Jeff (Deb) Crisman of Marquette Heights; 5 daughters, Sue (Dan) Gullet of Bradford, Terry Crawford of Canton, Betty Jo (George) Craver of Tremont, Linsy (Wes) Stockham of Minier, and Angie Jo Crawford of Bloomington; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Joan Clayton and Lorene Hidden, both of Enid, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A homemaker, Dorothy was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Peoria.
She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev. Paul Bonn will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October19, 2008at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
