Dorothy M Snyder

Born May 19, 1922 in Peoria to William and Martha (Pagles) Peplow, she married Harry C. Snyder on March 23, 1940 in Burlington, Iowa. He died April 29, 2000 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death her parents; one infant son, Donald Snyder; five sisters and two brothers.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Diane L. (Rev. Dwight) Winnett of Peoria

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria and was also a longtime volunteer at Christ Lutheran School.

A homemaker, Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family at the holidays and going to family reunions. She also enjoyed camping, fishing and attending horse shows.

Her graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. The Rev. Dwight Winnett, her son-in-law, will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
