Born May 12, 1923 in Pekin to Clarence M. and Kate E. (King) Stout, she married Julian D. "Duke" Botello on September 20, 1945 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Denise A. (Jerry) Berardi of Pekin; one granddaughter, Christina D. (Tim) Staes of Edwards and one great-grandson, Joseph Julian “J.J.” Staes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eugene Stout and Robert Stout and two sisters, Nelda Montgomery and LaVerne Bortzfield.
Ike was a homemaker and enjoyed ironing. She also loved to cook and entertain.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Todd Mushaney will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
