Elaine J Hanson

Born February 1, 1942 inPeoria to Lloyd Dale and Helen Dorothy (Waldschmidt) Hahn, she married Gary Wayne Hanson on May 16, 1970 in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Galen (Candace) Hanson of Cuba; two step-daughters, Kelli Severns of Manito and Kerri Hanson of Gurnee; one step-son, Tom Hanson of Cashton, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Mitch Hanson and Kyndi Hanson, both of Manito, Shawna "Peach" Jordan of Pekin, Cort Severns of Chillicothe, and Cali Hanson of Cuba; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Carole (Daniel) Meyer of Eureka; one nephew, Corey (Lisa) Meyer of El Paso; and one niece, Gini Meyer of Eureka.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Elaine was a dental assistant for over 30 years, last working for Dr. Thomas and Dr. Stonecipher, both in Pekin.

She attended Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Canton. She was a member of Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club in rural Cuba.

Elaine enjoyed vacationing in Florida. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Allan Feltner will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
