Elsie Joan Sisler

Born June 8, 1946 in Monticello to Eugene and Doris (Stiebner) Davis, she married Donald John Sisler on April 11, 1964 in Pekin. He died February 14, 2004 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Doris Hill; one infant daughter, Rebecca L. Sisler and one brother, Byron Davis.

Surviving are two daughters, Rosemary Sisler, and Doris Bessler, both of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Donavon, Dustin, Tristin, Karyn, Michael, John, Timothy and Paul; and three sisters, Dorothy Bridgeman of South Pekin, Wilma Marx of Manito and Linda Stewart of Tennessee.

A homemaker, Elsie loved flower gardens, quilting, crocheting and playing video games. She cherished time with her grandchildren.

Elsie had a strong faith in God and attended Bethesda Pentecostal Church of God in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Dave Wilder will officiate. Visitation will one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Woodrow Cemetery in Pekin.
