Erica Christine Underwood

She was born on October 7, 1975 in Peoria to Michael Jay and Veronika (Stammler) Underwood.

Surviving are her mother; two daughters, Sierra (Ryan) Blankenship of Mason City and Savannah (Alex) Osborne of Washington; three siblings, Stephanie Underwood of South Pekin, Kimberley Buskirk of Creve Coeur and Michael Underwood, Jr. of Pekin and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Erica worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers local #649.

She enjoyed being outdoors in nature, camping and hunting. She loved shopping and pampering herself with self-care and massages. Erica was an incredibly kind and caring person and cared greatly for others. Most of all she loved her family and friends and the time they spent together. She loved Halloween and passed along her love for spooky things to her loved ones. Her beauty was one of a kind. She could light up the whole room with her laughter. She loved live music and could dance the whole night away. She was always up for something fun or adventurous.

Her memorial visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no funeral.
