Esther Robinson

She was born April 7, 1943 in Mobile, Alabama to Rev. Jessie and Othelia (O’Cain) Robinson. 

Surviving are four daughters, Annette Lucy and Dawn Johnson, both of Peoria, Sharon Lucy of Texas and Juanita Flanagan of Georgia; two sons, Glen Robinson of Peoria and Demetrius Dowdell of Mobile, Alabama; many grandchildren, including seven that she raised, Tierre Johnson, Vionca Johnson, Ronisha Burns, Rockea Johnson, Alicia Johnson, Anthony Evans and Jacori Johnson; many great-grandchildren and three siblings, Marilyn Evans, Augustine Rorie and Jessie Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael Robinson, one great-grandson and two brothers.

Esther had worked as a CNA in the area for many years.

A loving and caring person that would feed and help out anyone. Esther enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing the lottery and going on joyrides.

Esther's home going celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Star Hope Church located at 417 W. Romeo Garret Ave. in Peoria.
