

Born September 13, 1914 in Pekin to Frank and Mary (Baily) McCoy, she married Oran "Curley" Miller on July 11, 1932 in Knoxville.
Surviving are her husband; 3 daughters, Janet (Rich) Goodlick and Arda DeBoer, both of Pekin and Sandra (Ron) Bellrose of Atlanta; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grand sons; 1 sister, Bernadine (Ted) Just of Pekin; and 1 brother, Wilbert (Carmen) McCoy of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by 1 great-great-granddaughter; 1 sister; and 3 brothers.
Ethel was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Ethel worked in the bottling department at American Distilling Company in Pekin for 25 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and its 50+ Year Member Club. She was a former Sunday school teacher and member of the Martha Circle.
Ethel enjoyed gardening, bowling, crocheting, knitting, and fishing at their cabin in Minnesota. She was an avid Tiger Woods fan.
She was a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose #673.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009and from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
