Eva E Davis

Born April 1, 1917 to Henry E. and Francis M. (Glombitza) Rippel in Wymore, NE, she married Samuel Wilcox in September, 1935 in Newcastle, IN.  She later married James Jason on February 14, 1952 in Aurora.  He preceded her in death on July 1, 1976.  She then married Harold Davis on October 25, 1978 in Lacon.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 1992.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Cliff Wilcox, one brother and three sisters.

Surviving are one son, Dave (Kathy) Wilcox of Pekin; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and one sister, Loretta Baldwin of Galesburg.

Eva had worked at RLI as a collator, retiring in 2002.  Previously, she had worked at I.T.I., Caterpillar, Inc. and seven years for Dr. Benito Comacho.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lacon.

A die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, Eva also enjoyed reading, traveling and visiting her relatives in her second home in Nebraska.  She had been a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter #673.

Her visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Following visitation, cremation will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
