Evelyn Montgomery

Born May 7, 1935 in West Salem, Wisconsin to William Paul and Nellie (Peterson) Wieburg, she married James William Montgomery on March 26, 1960 in Pekin.  He died in October 1982.

Also preceding her in death were 1 son, Jimmy Anglin in 1971 and 2 step-daughters, Thelma Eyer and Kathy Jones.

Surviving are 1 son, Joseph Frank Montgomery of Pekin; 1 daughter, Jill (Kent) Kautzman of Bismark, North Dakota; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 4 sisters, Thelma (Richard) Stewart, Wilma Bearden, Frances Castellani, and Diane (Roy) Robbins, all of Pekin; and 3 brothers, Clarence (Helen) Bolstead of Sparta, Wisconsin, William Wieburg of Pekin, and Donald (Diana) Wieburg of Lady Lake, Florida.

Evelyn had worked in the bakery at both Mr. K's and Schnucks supermarkets in Pekin for over 10 years.

She enjoyed playing BINGO, spending time with her sisters, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Her memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  There will be no funeral service.  Cremation will be accorded.
