Florence "Betsy" Jacob

She was born September 3, 1934 in Park Rapids, Minnesota to George Frederick and Helen M. Kimball Lewis.

Surviving are 4 daughters, Suzette Renee (Hal) Kirkpatrick of East Peoria, Deanne Kay (Harry Blackburn) Stately of Bemidji, Minnesota, Denise Ellen Jacob, and Mary Kathleen Corder, both of Morton; 3 sons, Kenneth Edward (Chrisilda) Jacob of Cary, Illinois, Richard Lewis (Mary Lou) Smith of Bemidji, and Duane E. (Kelly) Jacob of Peoria; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Donald F. (Linda) Lewis of Pekin; and 1 sister, Sharon W. Lewis of Morton.

She was preceded in death by 1 son, Daniel Charles Smith and 1 great-grandson, Averly Lee Stately.

Betsy last worked as a caseworker at the Central Illinois Agency on Aging. Previously, she had worked for Community Care in Pekin and the Pekin Daily Times.

She was a member of the North Pekin Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Roger Davis will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
