

Born November 8, 1944 in Enville, Tennessee to Delmer and Mary Helen (Minton) Spencer, he married Pennie Anne Williams on August 31, 1963 in Pekin. He later married Charlene Muncher in 1979 in Belleville. They later divorced.
He is survived by Pennie, his soulmate of 34 years; one daughter, Sherry Spencer of Cardwell, Missouri; one son, Bobby (Lisa) Spencer of Paragould; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two sisters, Shirley Rogers of Arizona and Sherry Keller of North Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Spencer; his mother, Mary Helen Smith; his stepfather, Samuel D. Smith; one daughter, Tresa Louise Spencer and one son, Richard Dean Spencer.
Bozie was a self-employed truck driver for 14 years and also had worked as a roofer. In retirement he and Pennie had a flea market business in Fairmont City, Illinois.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. Private inurnment will be Thursday at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
