

Born January 7, 1968 in Pekin, he was a son of Frank Leo and Pauline Sue (Ghidina) Filarski.
Surviving are his mother of Pekin; six brothers, Tony (Gail) Filarski of Clayton, Missouri, Don Filarski of Chicago, Charles "Chuck" Filarski, Matt (Natalie) Filarski, both of Pekin, Andy (Courtney) Filarski of Downs and Nick Filarski of Pekin; four sisters, Lori (Lenny) Wiseman, Connie (Jerry) Cox, Lisa Barr and Gina Filarski, all of Pekin; 21 nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Frank Filarski and Steve Filarski; one brother-in-law, Tim Barr and one nephew, Jeffery Ryan Barr.
Buck was a 1986 graduate of Pekin Community High School. He worked out of the Carpenters Union Local 237 in East Peoria until his retirement in 2023. Buck was a skilled and gifted craftsman and woodworker.
Buck enjoyed being outdoors and was a member of the Hook & Bullet Sportsman's Club in Victoria. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Archbishop Schlarman Council 3507 Knights of Columbus in Pekin.
Private family services will be held at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
