Gary Dorsey

He was born October 4, 1945 in Peoria to Oscar and Mildred (Simmons) Dorsey.

Surviving are three sons, Terry Dorsey of Delavan, Brian Dorsey of Pekin and Ronnie (Terri) Owens of Tremont; two daughters, Lynn (Jim) Dunlap of Pekin, Lisa Owens of Crandon, Wisconsin; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one sister, Becky Patterson of Metamora.

Preceding him in death are his parents; one son, Lonnie Owens; one grandson, Brinden Michael Dorsey; one brother, Steve Dorsey and one sister, Mary Wagle.

He had worked 40 years for Keystone Steel and Wire in Bartonville, beginning October 7, 1965 until his retirement October 7, 2005 as a fence shop repairman.

Gary had been a member of Pekin Moose Family Center #916.

He enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his dogs Ellie, Maggie, Honcho and Carley.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Chuck Grogan will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554.
