Georgia M Marshall

Born July 23, 1924 in Benton to Logan T. and Ira Mae (Smith) Murphy, she married Harold William Marshall on October 18, 1940 in Jackson, Missouri. He died April 17, 1999 in Creve Coeur. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one infant daughter (Ramona Carol Marshall), one infant son (Robert Earl Marshall), one sister, and one brother.

Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis M. Vasquez of Creve Coeur and Debra J. "Debbie" (Colin) White of Wyoming, IL; one son, Jerry H. (Jane) Marshall of East Peoria; eight grandchildren, Jerry W. (Timmie) Marshall of Washington, Angie M. (Mike) Hammond, Jamie A. (Jeff) Eberle, Ralph M. Vasquez, and Ryan F. White, all of East Peoria, Tichie N. (Steve) Jackson of Forsyth, Bobby M. (April) Vasquez of Peoria, and Tara N. White of Wyoming, IL; and ten great-grandchildren.

Betty worked for Reuling's Department Store in downtown Pekin for 27 years in the lingerie department, working until the business closed.

She was a former member of the Church of God in Murphysboro.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel, where visitation will be two hours before the funeral. The Rev. Joe Ballard will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2007at Hiller Cemetery in Murphysboro with Rev. Joe Daniels officiating.
