Born October 3, 1934 in Peoria to Robert Gerald and Dorothy Geraldine (Irwin) Lofthouse, she married Herbert Russell Ayres on September 22, 1952 in Peoria. He died December 29, 1999 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Deborah Lynn Ayres on October 15, 1966 in Pekin.
She is survived by one son, Herb Ayres of Bella Vista, Arkansas.
Private inurnment will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
