Harold Wayne Seelye

Born July 2, 1961 in Pekin to Harold Walter and Ruth Alice (Cohenour) Seelye, he married Mary A. Closen on March 23, 2001 in Pekin.

Surviving is his wife of 23 years; six daughters, Krissie Crandell of Peoria, Jennifer (Ashley) King of Manito, Celena (Jason) Sisk and Danelle (Ryan) Hall, both of Pekin, Joanie (Zack) Juengers of Morton and Mackenzie Crandell of Pekin; three sons, Jackie (Duana) Hill of South Carolina, Kristopher Crandelll of Pekin and Sean (Jessica) Schabatka; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Celestia Cooper.

Harold was veteran of the United States Army.

He had worked as a maintenance tech at Embassy Suites Hotel in East Peoria.

Harold enjoyed playing music, especially the guitar and drums. He was a computer tech who also enjoyed repairing things and working on cars. He also had a unwavering love for his dogs.

A gathering celebrating Harold’s life will be at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
