Helen Louise Jones

Born June 26, 1926 in Havana to William G. and Grace L. (Turnpaugh) Hoyle, she married Berle Dean Jones on June 7, 1952 in Pekin. He died October 27, 2002. She also was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Leonard Hoyle, Laverle “Bud” Hoyle, Ernest Hoyle, Glen Hoyle and Ben Hoyle and five sisters, Etta Hoffman, Eva Burroughs, Shirley Scamp, Pat Smith and Merle Shelton.

Surviving are one son, Larry (Carol) Kenney of Norwalk, Connecticut; one daughter, Cheryl A. Frampton of Pekin; five grandchildren, Kerri (Steve) Silver of Malibu, California, Ashley (Jason LaPierre) Kenney of Woodbury, Connecticut, Tanner (Katie) Kenney of Norwalk, Connecticut, Jason Haynes and Lindsey Haynes, both of Pekin; eleven great-grandchildren, Kai Silver, Boham O’Marra, Redding O’Marra, Birch LaPierre, Opal Kenney, Morgan Haynes, Sophia Haynes, Emerson Haynes, Paige Hagerdorn, Ethan Haynes, Alivia Haynes and two sisters, Lois Brown of Pekin and Rosie Cohenour of Wisconsin.

Helen worked for Pekin Community High School District 303 in the cafeteria for several years. She also was a longtime volunteer at the Pekin Eagles Lodge helping with their fish fry’s.

She enjoyed spending time with family and taking care of them. She especially enjoyed spending time with all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen also enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzle searches, sewing and cleaning.

Her funeral will be at noon Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
