Helen Margarite Welty

She was born September 29, 1914 in Topeka, Illinois to Ernest and Etha (Riley) Jackson. She married John Welty March 18, 1934. He preceded her in death August 1, 1972.

Helen worked at American Distillery on the bottling line for 27 years, retiring in 1976.

She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.

She is survived by two sons: Curtis (Cheri) Welty of Buena Vista, Colorado, and Craig Welty (Donna Simons) of Peoria. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Lorri Welty-Dana, Gina Welty-Anderson, Ashley Welty, and five great-grandchildren: Casey Walton, Madison Knuppel, Coltin Anderson, Anna Anderson, and Caden Welty. Preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Cortni Walton.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin, Illinois. Rev. Steve Weber will officiate.
