

He was born November 8, 1950 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Willie W. and Fay Evelyn (Ulrich) Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Susan Kay Parker.
Surviving are one daughter, Danielle (Antonio) Carranza of North Pekin; one son, Joe Parker of Pekin; five grandchildren, Gabriel and Antonio Carranza, Jr., both of North Pekin and Treyon, Tia and Tyra Parker, all of Pekin.
Mike was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He had worked at Caterpillar, Inc. in Mossville and Mapleton before his retirement. He was a member of the United Autoworkers Local 974 in East Peoria.
An outdoorsman, Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage and working in his yard and garden with his grandchildren.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin, where military services will be provided by the United States Air Force and Tazewell Military Rites Team.
