Irwin "Buck" E Spiesz

Born July 25, 1939 in Pekin to Irwin E. and Vera (Cook) Spiesz, he married Sharon E. Weakley on November 23, 1963 in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Bradley (Beth) Spiesz of Pekin; two daughters, Tina (Danny Blackstock) Spiesz of San Jose and Melinda (Michael) Forbis of Pekin; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin (Sally) Spiesz of Ohio and Darrell (Darlene) Spiesz of Pekin; and one sister, Patricia (Kenny) Crawford of Pekin.

His parents preceded him in death.

He was a United States Army veteran.

Buck worked at American Distillery in Pekin until their closing. He later worked for Video Services in Peoria before retiring.

Buck enjoyed playing cards, fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals, and watching the grandkids playing sports.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. The Rev. Ron Little will officiate. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, where military rites will be accorded.
