

Born August 26, 1940 in Pekin to Henry Lee and Mary Arabella (Jefford) Duffield, he married Donna Zimmerman on June 26, 1960 in Glasford. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Mark (Kimberle) Duffield of Fairview; one daughter, Angela (Joe) Williams of Glasford and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence Duffield, Kenneth Duffield, and Charles Duffield and two sisters, Viola Jean Pilgrim and Cora Irene Duhs.
Ivan worked for Keystone Steel & Wire Company in Bartonville for 36 years, retiring in 1994.
He was a 52-year volunteer for the Timber Hollis Fire Department and is a trustee of Timber Township. He was fond of John Deere tractors and enjoyed camping and hunting. Ivan loved his grandchildren and was extremely proud of them.
He was a faithful member of Glasford Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He also was a member of the River Valley Antique Association in Mapleton.
Ivan never knew a stranger and was known for “Ivaning”. He will be deeply missed.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Glasford Baptist Church. Pastor Paul D. Cook will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and also from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, both at the church. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery in Glasford. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
