Born November 24, 1978 in Peoria to James Banks and Kathy Hunt.
Surviving are one son, Jace Banks; two sisters, Joni Banks, April Sides; one brother, Joshua Canopy; father and stepmother, James and Sherry Banks.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Hunt.
James was an avid sports fan and could name about any statistic in the sports world. He lived for today, always lived life to the fullest and in the fast lane. James was known for his huge personality and would give you the shirt off his back. He loved spending time with family and friends making everyone laugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family for his son Jace’s College Fund.
